Christmas weight

the average American gains 5 to 10 pounds during the holiday season! So not become an average American what can you do?

Having a game plan is one of the biggest and most important things you could do for your health! what I mean by game plan is this...when are you going to workout and what type of workout can you do say at "the Families" homes? there are all kinds of gyms that have visitor passes or one day use for a small fee. But what can you do around the house? Think about a nice long walk with added squats and lunges, even some push-up on some trees! Could you take your rubber bands with you and do a great resistance workout in your room or a spare room?

The second thing to consider is what are you going to put in your mouth?! Eat small meals every 2 to 3 hours during the day. Limit your complex carbs, like wheat, potatoes, breads, etc., focus on vegetables and protein!

The Biggest thing you can do for your self is stay AWAY from SUGAR!! it is evil!

So enjoy your family and friend this holiday season and make healthy choices!

Personal Training with an individual trainer vs one from a gym

As a personal trainer I have learned that there are many different aspects to training. I have worked in a private studio and a "chain" gym setting. What I found was that in a "chain" gym the pressure to sell is overwhelming. You end up focusing more on how to get your clients to "upgrade" their training packages and selling new packages to new clients. I know that I almost lost the reason I became a personal trainer. yet it seemed that the only way to get my boss to communicate and praise me at my job. After realizing all this I decided to get back my focus on the clients! I started my own personal training business and left the "chain". I am so happy that I did.....and so are my clients. They now don't worry about getting phone calls, don't have monthly gym fees or contracts. They pay as they go and get more quality personal training from me!
